Abstract

The decoration of the surface of cosmetic powders or creams uses an ink-jet printer delivering pigments and/or colourants that are safe to the skin. The ink is on an aqueous base. The cosmetic product may be a compacted powder, a paste, such as lipstick, a gel or an emulsion. The ink-jet printer uses four nozzles connected to ink cartridges containing respectively yellow, red, blue and black ink. These colours are combined to form designs of any colour on the surface of the cosmetic.
