Abstract

The firearm has a revolving cylinder (1). A single chamber of the cylinder is of the same diameter as the rounds fired, whilst the other chambers are enlarged (3). The cylinder is fixed around its normal axis of rotation so that the correctly sized chamber is positioned in alignment with the hammer and barrel. The enlarged chambers are cylindrical and have a diameter greater than that of the cartridge base. Each of the enlarged chambers can be closed by a plug.

11. Method according to claim 10, characterized in that an intermediate operation consists in closing each of the enlarged chambers (3) of the barrel (1) by means of a plug (7).
