Abstract

The invention concerns a device for printing a strip medium comprising a frame (1), a carriage (5) mobile in translation along a guide (2) integral with the frame (1) and carrying a pivoting printing head (7) and elastic means (9) arranged between the carriage (5) and the printing head (7), a cover bearing a console and connected pivoting to the frame (1) between a closed position in which the printing head (7) is urged to rest on the console by the elastic means (9) and an open position, a locking member borne by the frame (1) retractable between a first position where it co-operates with a stop integral with the cover and a second position in which it is released from this stop, the locking member (17) being integral with a lever (19) articulated to the frame (1), this lever (19) having an end co-operating with the printing head such that in the displacement of the locking member (17) between its first and second positions, the end of the lever (19) causes the printing head (7) to pivot against the action of the elastic means (9).
