Abstract

The anti-theft box for compact discs has a slot through which the article to be protected is introduced. A lock prevents unauthorised removal of the article from the box. The lock can be released externally, for example magnetically. An insert with external dimensions corresponding to the internal dimensions of the box can be used to provide protection for items that are smaller than the box. The insert is made from a folded sheet of a rigid material. A hole in the insert allows cooperation with a complimentary latching part on the box. The two sides (2) of the insert are joined (3) at the rear edge.
