Abstract

Description

"DEVICE FOR FEATHERING BIRDS"

  The present invention relates to a device for plucking birds, in particular for plucking hunting birds "in situ", although its use

  could apply to any other species of bird.

  It is a simple device which combines in an unknown manner three essential elements: a) elastic spikes arranged at several angles to pluck the feathers of the bird (plucking); b) a fan that sends air to convey the torn feathers to c) an interchangeable pocket to collect the feathers and that the user removes when he

deems appropriate.

  The device is so simple and economical that it can be transformed into a small device

  household appliances for domestic use.

  To better understand the object of the present invention, there is shown in the drawings a preferred practical embodiment, which can receive accessory modifications without departing from the scope of the

present invention.

  FIG. 1 represents a general schematic section of the device for plucking birds according to the invention, with all of its characteristic components and arrangements in the operating position, -2- giving a nonlimiting example of practical embodiment. Figure 2 shows a bottom plan view corresponding to the previous figure. Figure 3 shows a front view

corresponding to figure 2.

  FIG. 4 represents a view similar to that of FIG. 1, in which the components of the

  device have another arrangement.

  The device for plucking birds comprises, in a carcass body (1), plucking equipment comprising a motor (2), plucking means (5) and air suction / expulsion means, which can be fans. (4), (4 ') (depending on the orientation of their blades), or equivalent elements which evacuate the feathers torn towards

  an interchangeable collecting bag (3).

  According to the invention, and according to the embodiment shown, the carcass body (1) has a

  tubular configuration, with a semi-window

  circular (11), to allow the introduction of the bird into the plumage area (inside the body (1)). The motor (2) is mounted inside the carcass body (1) by means of spacers (21), Figure 1, or screws (21 '), Figure 4; The plucking means (5) consist of a plurality of elastically deformable radial points (51), mounted at several angles on a tubular axis (52), coupled coaxially to the axis of

motor outlet (2).

  To prevent accidental access of the bird to the location area of the motor (2) and the fan (4), transverse rods (6) are

  mounted at a distance from each other in the body-

carcass (1).

  In the exemplary embodiment of FIG. 1, the collecting bag (3) is placed on the other side of the engine (2) than the plucking means (5). Consequently, the fan (4) acts as an extractor by sucking the feathers into the area of

  plumage and by routing them towards the pocket (3).

  In the embodiment of Figure 4, the collecting bag (3) is placed in the extension of the plucking means (5) and is on the same side of the engine (2) as said plucking means. Consequently, the fan (4 ') propels the feathers from the plumage area to

route to the pocket (3).

  In this exemplary embodiment, the device for plucking the birds is completed by a grid.

Claims (3)

  1.- Device for plucking birds, in particular hunting birds, characterized in that it comprises: a) a carcass body (1) of tubular shape at one end of which is a pocket (3 ) interchangeable; b) plucking equipment mounted inside said carcass body (1), comprising a motor (2) coaxial to the axis of which the plucking means (5) are arranged and a fan (4), (4 ') d suction / expulsion of air which evacuates the feathers torn away from the pocket (3).   2.- Device for plucking birds, according to the preceding claim, characterized in that said plucking means (5) consist of a plurality of radial points (51), elastically deformable, mounted at several angles on a   axis (52) coaxial with the motor output axis (2).   3.- Device for plucking birds, according to claim 1, characterized in that it comprises rods (6) transverse, mounted at a distance from each other in said carcass body (1) and placed between the plucking means ( 5) and the fan (4), (4 ').
