Abstract

The fastener is designed to attach the ends of a chain or cord to the side-pieces of the spectacle frame. The spectacles can, then, hang round the wearer's neck when not being worn. The fastener consists of a supple spiral (1), attached by a connector (2) to each end of the cord or chain and wound round the spectacle frame side-piece. The spiral can be made from a plastics material which can be over-moulded onto the ends of the cord or chain or made in one piece with it. In the event of a sharp involuntary pull on the spectacles the spirals will detach, avoiding damage to the spectacles or injury to the wearer.

Description

Device for attaching a chain or a cord to the branches of spectacle frames.

The present invention relates to a device for attaching various types of chains or cords to various types of spectacle frames, as well as a cord / attachment assembly.

It is commonly used systems that allow to adapt to different types of spectacle frames.

On the one hand, the fastening means used remain complicated in their design, using at least three parts in addition to the cord, and an assembly that can be carried out only with specific tools.

On the other hand, an adjustment of the attachment on the telescope branch is regularly necessary.

The existing fasteners are mainly made using different materials, which involves different suppliers, and this results in storage problems. sorting, handling, etc.

In addition, the attachments of these cords are devoid of any security system and in the event of unintentional and violent attachment of the cord or the goggles to an external element ii this may result in breakage of the frame or even bodily injury.

The object of the present invention is to limit the number of parts involved in manufacturing.

The invention also aims to provide a fastener adaptable to all types of frames without any adjustment.

Another object of the invention is to solve the security problem linked to the wearing of the cord around the neck.

According to the invention, in a first case. The fastener and the cord are made from a flexible material in one piece.

In a second case, where we keep the use of cords currently used for this type of product we find ourselves with an overmolding of the fasteners on the ends of the cord, or with a clips overmolded on the cord, to be connected with the twist .

A case like the other has the effect of making the cord integral with the fastener thus giving the product its entity and its originality.

Description de l'invention,
Description of the invention,
A form of tendril (1) which is wound around each branch of the glasses on the horizontal part between the ear and the hinge.

This tendril made of flexible material, consisting of several open rings is deformed concentrically to adapt to the different configurations of the spectacle branches, thus the thicker the branches the greater the diameter of the tendril and the number of rings reduced.

In solidarity with one of the ends of the spin, a device (2) for receiving the chain or the cord.

The device according to the invention can be produced in various ways. The main characteristic of the invention being the use of the spin as fasteners on the branches of glasses.
