Abstract

The connection process involves utilising an additional cavity (9) which is made with a square cross-section on at least one of the two large insulating surfaces (4) of the connector (1) in the space separating two paired contacts (2,3). The lever arm (12) lies along the plug (8) and has a hook (14) at its free end (13) to clip in the cavity by an elastic return motion when the plug is engaged. Its other end (18) to the rear of the plug may be levered to disengage the arm. The elastic return effect is produced by a protruding point (19) of elastic material. The plug may be adapted to encompass a number of pairs of contacts.
