Abstract

The unit consists of a housing (2) with an aperture (21) in its upper wall for depositing used cups. The aperture is at the upper end of a vertical tubular cavity, outside which there is a hinged and spring-loaded swinging lever (3) with a tip (32) at its lower end which projects into the cavity and holds the cups in place. The lever tip (32) has a sloping upper surface (34) and a flat front edge (33) and approximately parallel to the axis of the tubular cavity. The lever can be actuated by a push-button (53) in the upper wall of the housing and a hinged angle bracket (52) to disengage it and release the cups from the cavity.
