Abstract

Snow skis consisting of a pair of boards (1, 2) each provided with longitudinal edges and a running surface are disclosed. Each of the boards (1, 2) is asymmetrical relative to its longitudinal mid-plane.

Description

 Unbalanced skis for snow.

 The present invention relates to improved snow skis.

 Skis traditionally have a symmetrical profile with respect to the median longitudinal axis, the two boards constituting the ski board being identical.

Generally, the skis have a median hollow and a profile delimited laterally by curves in an arc of a circle or in an elliptical arc.

 With this type of skis, during a turn on a slope, the skier rests on the ski outside the turn and, to balance himself, advances the inside ski. The hollows of the left ski and the right ski are then offset, and the skier cannot take real support on the ski inside the turn, the latter being in imbalance.

 The object of the present invention is to propose improvements to traditional skis to reduce the efforts of the skier and optimize the grip of edges on both feet simultaneously.

 To this end, the invention relates to snow skis of the type consisting of a pair of boards each equipped with longitudinal edges and a sliding sole, characterized in that each of the boards is asymmetrical with respect to the median longitudinal plane.

 With this type of skis, the skier can simultaneously rest on his two feet because when the skis are offset one in front of the other, the two recesses on the support zones are on the same plane at the vertical to the skier. The latter, exerting a natural vertical pressure due to its weight, or active due to muscular efforts, reacts its skis simultaneously in support with excellent lateral balance as well as optimal performance in their trajectory of the two skis.

 Advantageously, the hollow of the internal face is more important than the hollow of the external face. The width lines of the ski are the application of the morphological projection of the foot.

 Preferably, the ski pair is formed by two boards having mirror symmetry with respect to each other.

 Advantageously, the maximum width of the front part of each board is greater than the maximum width of the rear part of the board.

 According to a preferred embodiment, each board has on the external face a hollow offset towards the rear relative to the hollow of the external face.

 The invention will be better understood on reading the description which follows, referring to the accompanying drawings showing a non-limiting example of skis according to the invention.

 Figure 1 shows a top view of a pair of skis according to the invention. The right ski (1) and the left ski (2) have a mirror symmetry. The straight ski has a hollow on the inner edge (3), the point of inflection (4) of which is situated at the level of the median transverse axis (5), and on the outer edge (6) a hollow, the point of which d 'inflection (7) is located behind the median transverse axis (5).

 The internal half-width (8) corresponds substantially to the half-width of a ski of known type. The external half-width (9) differs from the internal half-width (e) by the offset towards the rear of the point of inflection of the hollow (7) and by a more marked narrowing at the level of the heel.

 By half width is meant in this patent the part of the board located on one side of the median longitudinal axis (10).

 The external half-width (9) has at the rear part a maximum width 1'2 less than the width l "2 of the maximum width of the half-width (8) at the rear part.

 The external half-width (9) has at the front part a maximum width 1'1 substantially equal to the width 1 "1 1 of the maximum width of the demilarger (8) at the front part.

 The width of the ski in its front part has a maximum value lî greater than the maximum width 12 of the ski in its rear part. For example, 11 is equal to 8 centimeters, 12 = 1'2 + 1 "2 is equal to 7.5 centimeters and the value 13 of minimum width of the ski at the level of the median transverse line is equal to 6, 2 inches.

 According to an experimented embodiment, the angle a between the median transverse axis (5) and the axis (8) passing through the two inflection points of the (4, 7) of the hollows of the same ski is d 'about 140.

Claims (9)

 1 - Snow skis of the type consisting of a pair of boards (1, 2) each equipped with longitudinal edges and a sliding sole characterized in that each of the boards (1, 2) is asymmetrical with respect to the longitudinal plane median.  2 - Skis for snow according to claim 1 characterized in that the pair of skis is formed of two boards (1, 2) having a mirror symmetry with respect to each other.  3 - Skis for snow according to claim 1 or 2 characterized in that the narrowing at the rear part of the external half-width (9) has a maximum width 1'2 less than the width 1 "2 of the width maximum at the rear part of the internal demilarger (8).  4 - Skis for snow according to any one of the preceding claims characterized in that each board has on the outer face (7) a hollow offset backwards relative to the hollow (4) of the internal face.  5 - Skis for snow according to any one of the preceding claims characterized in that each board has on the outer face (7) a hollow offset towards the rear relative to the median transverse axis (5) and on the inner face a hollow (4) located substantially on the median transverse axis (5).  6 - Skis for snow according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the hollow of the internal face is greater than the hollow of the external face.  7 - Skis for snow according to any one of the preceding claims characterized in that the rib width lines of the ski are the application of the morphological projection of the foot.  8 - Skis for snow according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the angle a between the median transverse axis (5) and the axis (8) passing through the two inflection points of (4, 7) hollow of the same ski is around 14.  9 - Skis for snow according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the internal half-width (8) corresponds substantially to the half-width of a ski of known type and in that the external half-width (9) differs from the internal half-width (8) by the rearward offset of the point of inflection of the hollow (7) and by a more marked narrowing at the heel.
