Abstract

Claims

1. Method for producing a graphic security identification pattern for a document, characterized in that it consists in entering, using a computer keyboard or a digitizing device, fixed information entering the constitution of a basic graphic motif, to enter variable information concerning the identity of the object with which the document must be associated, to be constituted by calculation using automatic computer means from at least one part of the fixed and variable information, digital information capable of mathematical combination with at least part of the digital data of the basic graphic pattern, of modifying the shape of said pattern and of controlling with the aid of said information the printing of a pattern security graphic resulting from the modification of the basic pattern using said information and specific to the object with which the document is associated.

Method according to claim 1, characterized in that for the constitution by calculation of the digital information capable of modifying the shape of the basic pattern is added to the fixed information entering into the constitution of the basic graphic pattern and to the variable information concerning the identity of the object to which the document of the automatic codes not visible on the document must be associated.

Graphic security motif, intended for the identification of an object, characterized in that it comprises at least one graphic line (2a, 3a, 4a, 5a; 2b, 3b, 4b, 5b) arranged in at least a region (2, 3, 4, 5) and the shape of which corresponds to information relating to the identity of said object, said at least one graphic line being produced using the method according to one of claims 1 and 2 .

5. graphic security pattern according to claim 4, characterized in that the neighboring regions (2, 3, 4, 5) are separated from each other by lines (7, 7a, 8) whose particular contour corresponds to additional identity information of said object.

6. graphic security pattern according to claim 5, characterized in that the lines (7, 7a, 8) of separation of the regions (2, 3, 4, 5) from each other are defined by the graphic lines (2a to Sa; 2b to 5b) contained in the corresponding regions and of which they constitute envelopes.

7. graphic security pattern according to claim 6, characterized in that the neighboring regions (2, 3, 4, 5) respectively contain graphic lines designating the date of birth (2a; 2b), the surname and first name (3a, 3b), the place of birth (4a, 4b) and the particular signs (Sa, 5b) of the identified individual.

8. graphic security pattern according to one of claims 6 and 7, characterized in that the dividing lines (7, 7a) of three successive neighboring regions (2, 3, 4) represent the place of residence of the individual identified, while the dividing line (8) between the central region (S) and the neighboring region (4) designates the country of nationality of the individual, said dividing lines (7, 7a, 8) being recognizable by the naked eye.

9. Fiduciary document such as personal identity document, personal permit, title, share, obligation, check, characterized in that it comprises at least one graphic security motif according to one of claims 3 to 8.

10. Fiduciary identity document, in particular passport, characterized in that it comprises on at least one of its pages (9, 10) bearing in clear identification information of its holder, a graphic security motif (12) according to one of claims 3 to 8.

11. Document according to one of claims 9 and 10, characterized in that the graphic security pattern is an integral part of the document.
