Abstract

The turn-table turns on an axle with a ball and has four fixed partitions to form compartments to separate four orders. Four removable partitions can be fixed to it so that eight orders can be separated. The turn-table is turned to pass the orders on to the next stage. Four balls of different colours are used to mark the order in which orders have been taken. A short cylinder can be used instead of the coloured balls.

Description

 The present invention relates to a device for separating and accelerating the assembly of product orders in fast food restaurants equipped with a "drive-thru" (drive-in).

 Traditionally, product orders are assembled on a table. As a result, no separator makes it possible to differentiate one command from the other, hence a risk of confusion and therefore a waste of time to view the different commands.

 The device according to the invention makes it possible to remedy these drawbacks. This device, consisting of a ball axis forming the turnstile, is provided with fixed and removable separation flaps. On the one hand, it makes it possible to assemble orders for products in compartments separate from each other by means of the flaps. On the other hand, it accelerates the assembly of controls for rapid service through the turnstile.

 This prototype is made of food-grade stainless metal, to which are added four plastic balls of different colors.

 Product orders are assembled in a first compartment that is distinguished by the four fixed flaps (photo 1).

When the influx of drive-in commands is low, the fixed shutters are enough to separate four commands. When the crowds are higher, the person responsible for checking the controls unfolds the removable shutters (photo 2). Thus, the person responsible for assembling the orders can assemble eight orders at the same time. Finally, the person responsible for giving orders uses the turnstile to place the assembled orders one after the other, using the colored balls (photo 3) to speed up the flow.

 According to a variant of the equipment of the invention, the four plastic balls can be replaced by a short cylinder to allow the storage of straws.

 The device according to the invention is particularly intended for fast restaurants equipped with a "drive-in service" and can be extended to any other type of fast restaurant.

 I) Device for separating and speeding up the assembly of product orders, characterized by a turnstile provided with four fixed flaps (1) and four removable flaps (2) distinguished by four fixed balls of different colors (3).  2) Device according to claim 1 characterized in that the turnstile provided with four fixed flaps makes it possible to distinguish four commands at the same time.  3) Device according to claim 1 characterized in that the turnstile equipped with four additional removable flaps allows to distinguish and assemble eight commands at the same time.  4) Device according to claim 1 characterized in that the turnstile is provided with four balls of different colors facilitating the distinction of orders and manual use of the device.
