Abstract

The heat transmitter includes a thermal joint (3) which forms an interface between an aluminium tube (1) and a girder (7, 9). The joint is made in advance and put around the tube without overlapping. The ends of mandrels (6) are covered with a layer (7) of composite material and pushed against the metal tube. Two plates are then placed on either side of the H-structure and an opposing pressure is applied to ensure polymerisation. The thermal joint is made by spreading out the substance on a sheet to obtain the required dimensions and to polymerise it. The mandrels used are shaped to correspond to the cross-section of the central tube.
