Abstract

The compact disc storage box has two hinged halves (1a,1b). One half has an internal hub (1c) at its centre to position and support the compact disc. The outer surface of the other half carries a square recess. The overall thickness of the box is the same as a standard compact disc box. The recessed region can accept a printed sheet or can carry raised decorations, which do not extend beyond the level of the perimeter of the recess. A clear sheet set in the recess covers the printed insert or the raised design, protecting it from damage and preventing it from collecting dust and dirt. Alternatively a design can be formed in relief in the top surface of the box.
