Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for automatically updating spontaneous applications in relation to a position or a professional stream in a computerized directory.

 We currently know of a process according to which, when a candidate for a position sends his CV (curriculum vitae) to a company, the latter responds by asking him to enter, into his own computer file, via the network telematic telephone, all or part of his CV as well as additional information such as the type of position sought, claims and other similar information.

 The disadvantages of this process are relatively heavy and dissuasive both for the company and for the candidates.

 Firstly, it imposes on the candidate a non-negligible expense corresponding to the duration of the connection on the telematic network in order to be able to reach and complete the company's file, an expense generally not compatible with the candidate's financial state, especially if the latter is unemployed or in an equivalent situation. This expense is also very often disproportionate in view of the number of applicants for a single vacant position.

 In addition, whether the CVs are introduced by the candidate himself by telematic network, or by the company, each application remains drowned out among many others, without the company never knowing if this or that candidate is still at the looking for this job. Thus, the company concerned cannot distinguish the motivation of the candidates, nor carry out a sorting process among the candidates' proposals, between those which are still valid and those which should be deleted in view of their obsolescence. In fact, said file can only grow, and thus become less and less usable, unless arbitrary write-offs are made, for example based on the age of the request.

The present invention aims to overcome these drawbacks, without however necessitating the destruction of the files already created within companies. To this end, the method according to the invention consists:
to be carried out by the company or by the authorized subcontractor a computer directory by type of position or sector, spontaneous applications selected by it for positions to be filled later, by entering the names and surnames of the candidates selected
- to automatically assign a confidential and personal code to each of the candidates, a code which is communicated to them by the company or the authorized subcontractor by return of mail, inviting them to connect by telematic means to said directory, in particular to complete a questionnaire when they first connect;
- and to induce, on each subsequent connection of the candidates provided with their confidential code on the said directory by telematic means, the displacement of their first and last name in the first rank of the directory of the position or of the type of branch in which they are entered.

 In fact, each candidate can update his file by connecting to the directory by requiring only a very short connection time, of the order of two minutes during the first connection, and 30 seconds during subsequent update connections. , and therefore incurs little cost.

 The questions to which the candidate is invited to answer during his first connection relate to the range of remuneration to which he claims, the location of the workplace, the type of contract desired, and optionally his telephone number.

 The confidential code advantageously consists of twelve digits, namely, three digits identifying the company, two digits identifying the current year, its file number comprising five digits and two digits intended to avoid any similarity of number due to chance . This code is determined automatically by means of software stored in the memory of the computer managing the telematic server.

 Thus, the fact that a candidate frequently connects with the directory indicates a definite interest in the position or the coveted sector as well as its availability, facilitating if necessary the choice of the company to fill a vacant position. or newly created.

 Advantageously, during his connection to the server after entering his confidential code, it is possible for the candidate to modify the answers to the questionnaire, introduced during his first connection.

 The file of each candidate, easily identifiable by his number which appears in the directory, is physically stored separately, and contains all the characteristics of the candidate and, in particular his CV, his address and his telephone number.

 To allow the company to contact a candidate even if the latter is traveling, such as on vacation, according to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the directory contains, next to each candidate and in addition to above, an area available for the registration of a temporary telephone number.

 According to an improved embodiment of the invention aimed at facilitating relations between the company and each candidate, it is expected that each advertisement will cause the inscription of a sign, such as an asterisk, opposite the mention of the position listed, so that each candidate involved in this position is notified. He can then apply by indicating his personal and confidential code number.

 Naturally, for the implementation of this method, one can use all known means of telecommunication, such as Minitel (registered trademark) and computers, and in general, any telematic communication system.

 When a candidate sends a spontaneous letter of application to a company implementing the process in accordance with the invention, the latter enters his first and last name in a computer directory, and assigns him a personal and confidential code, which she communicates to him by return mail.  During his first connection to the server center by telematic means, and in particular by Minitel (registered trademark), the candidate enters his confidential code which was communicated to him by mail by the company or by the subcontracting firm authorized by it, following a spontaneous application that he sent to this company, as already said. In fact, the company or the authorized subcontracting firm has introduced the candidate's full name into a directory corresponding to a position or a type of position for which it seems best suited.

 During his connection, the candidate therefore accesses the first screen, shown diagrammatically in FIG. 1. On this one appears in (1) the corporate name of the company, and in (2) and (3) the first name and the last name.
