Abstract

L'implant rotulien comprenant une partie de fixation (1a) et une partie d'appui et de glissement convexe (1b) constituant le bouton rotulien, ledit implant intégrant un élément (2) apte à être détecté par radiographie pour indiquer le positionnement et l'orientation angulaire dudit implant (1).

Description

Implant rotulien.
L'invention concerne plus particulièrement l'articulation fémoro-patellaire, notamment une prothèse rotulienne destinée à remplacer les fonctions de la rotule.
Dans le cas d'une articulation du genou prothésée, il est parfois nécessaire de remplacer également la rotule1 dont la fonction est de supporter les pressions exercées par la trochlée fémorale. La rotule, dans le mouvement de flexion - extension, glisse dans la gorge de la trochlée.
D'une manière parfaitement connue, un implant rotulien présente une partie de fixation, généralement sous forme d'un corps cylindrique, solidaire directement ou d'une manière rapportée, d'une partie d'appui et de glissement convexe, constituant le bouton rotulien. Ce bouton rotulien coopère avec une surface d'appui concave, que présente une trochlée formée entre les patins condyliens d'un implant fémoral.
Généralement, I'ensemble de l'implant rotulien est réalisé en polyéthylène, et plus particulièrement dans un matériau radio-transparent.
De ce fait, aucun repère visible ne permet d'évaluer la position et l'évolution de cet implant, lors d'une radiographie.
L'invention s'est fixée pour but de remédier à ces inconvénients, de manière simple, sûre, efficace et rationnelle.
Le problème que se propose de résoudre l'invention, est donc de pouvoir suivre l'évolution de l'implant rotulien, lors d'une radiographie.
Dans ce but, L'implant intègre un élément apte à être détecté par radiographie pour indiquer le positionnement et l'orientation angulaire dudit implant.
Avantageusement, I'élément est un plot métallique, disposé coaxialement au bouton rotulien.
L'invention est exposée, ci-après plus en détail à l'aide des dessins annexés, dans lesquels:
La figure 1 est une vue partielle et en coupe de l'implant.
La figure 2 est une vue en coupe transervale considérée selon la ligne 2.2 de la figure 1.
L'implant rotulien (1) comprend un corps cylindrique (la) conformé pour permettre l'impaction de l'implant. Le corps (1a) présente, directement ou de manière rapportée, une partie d'appui et de glissement convexe (lob), constituant le bouton rotulien, destiné à coopérer avec une trochlée d'un implant fémoral. Généralement, L'implant rotulien est réalisé en polyéthylène.
Selon une caractéristique à la base de l'invention, L'implant intègre un élément (2) apte à être détecté par radiographie pour indiquer le positionnement et l'orientation angulaire de l'implant. Cet élément (2) est constitué par un plot métallique disposé coaxialement au bouton rotulien (lob) et au corps (la).
La longueur (I) du plot métallique (2) est très sensiblement égale à la moitié de l'épaisseur (E) de Implant rotulien (figure 1). II en résulte que ce plot (2) combiné avec une radio postopératoire du genou prothésé, va permettre de fournir les renseignements suivants:
- orientation de l'implant rotulien par rapport à l'os prothésé,
- position du point de contact entre le bouton rotulien (lob) et la trochlée de l'implant fémoral,
- repère radiologique pour évaluer l'échelle de la radio.
A noter que le plot (2) est intégré dans un logement du corps (la) et ne déborde pas de la base dudit corps.
Les avantages ressortent bien de la description.

Claims (4)

    REVENDICATIONS
  1. -1- Implant rotulien comprenant une partie de fixation (la) et une partie d'appui et de glissement convexe (lob) constituant le bouton rotulien, caractérisé en ce qu'il intègre un élément (2) apte à être détecté par radiographie pour indiquer le positionnement et l'orientation angulaire dudit implant (1).
  2. -2- Implant selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que l'élément (2) est un plot métallique.
  3. -3- Implant selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que le plot (2) est disposé coaxialement au bouton rotulien.
  4. 4- Implant selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que la longueur (i) du plot (2) correspond très sensiblement à la moitié de l'épaisseur totale (E) de l'implant (1).
