Abstract

The alarm device for use in conjunction with mains-powered appliances includes a sensor (1) which determines the size of a monitored value. The circuit includes a rectifier (4) supplying a battery (3) in order to provide a continuous supply to an alarm device (2) if the power should fail. The device is intended to issue an alarm signal, if a value such as temperature, pressure, speed, acceleration, etc. exceeds a given threshold.
