Abstract

The file transmission method involves encoding the file being transmitted with marker sequences indicating the nature of the following part of the data stream. The marker sequences include indication of the type of compression used for the large component of the file.The receiver reads the incoming data stream and invokes the appropriate decompression program when a marker indicating arrival of a compressed stream is detected. The appropriate program is read from the marker. The decompressed signals are transformed to an RGB video signal, or to an audio signal in a form suited to input to an amplifier.
