Abstract

Two flat plate sections (1,2) are connected by a roller bearing (3) which has base plate connections (4) to the plates. The rear section of the plates has counterweights (7). The front section of the plates is sprung open and has electrical connectors (5) connected to wires on each plate. A low voltage is placed across the connection terminals. When a letter or newspaper is inserted, the plates snap shut, so that electrical contact is made and a remote light lights up.
