Abstract
Description
Traditionally, playing elements such as pucks or the like slide on a track only thanks to the cleanliness and the finish of their contacting surface. The track is very smooth (metal, plastic, ice for curling for example ...) and therefore messy, not very resistant to shocks. As a result, successive degradations rapidly modify the playing conditions. The play elements can see their sliding qualities improved by their surface condition or by the addition of rollers or rollers; but these do not remain constant and are not scalable or adjustable depending on the track. Furthermore, when the game requests to rebound on a track edge, the properties of the rebound depend on the playing element and are fixed by the constitution of the puck. In addition, slips and rebounds are a source of noise.
The present invention therefore aims to eliminate these defects and allow a game element to slide and rebound in a correct and progressive manner, even on a track having defects (damaged, dirty track.) Or surfaces not intended for this use without ablming them (tiles, cements, parquet floors, plastic coatings ...) and without making noise. In addition, the design makes it possible to release a marking location in the upper part, intended for example for legal advertising
To this end, the invention relates to a game element of the puck type, of circular or other shape (for example polygonal for an aesthetic question), with a low center of gravity, the lower part of which in contact with the sliding surface consists of filaments. vertical or inclined, in principle of synthetic material (polyethylene, polyester, for example or animal hair); these vertical filaments are either straight or looped, dimensioned in diameter and length so as to allow the lifting of the play element in a flexible manner so that the slip is reflected at the simple ends of the filaments, the defects being absorbed by their flexibility. The evolution of movement characteristics on the same play element will either be by adjusting the length of the filaments differently, or by changing these filaments by others of different quality (diameter or different material). The arrangement of these filaments under the play element can be arbitrary, but will preferably consist of strips of fine filaments, arranged for example in a circular fashion on the lower periphery of the play element, a variant of this arrangement may be a circle made up of interrupted segments of filaments. In addition, the peripheral part of the playing element which will eventually be used for bouncing on the edge of a track, or on another playing element independent of the rest of the element. This part in absorbent material such as rubber for example, or in equivalent synthetic material, so as to absorb noise while retaining its progressive rebound qualities either by crushing by any system of the peripheral part, or by rapid change of this part peripheral by another with different qualities.

Other characteristics will become apparent on reading the following detailed description of embodiments given here above all by way of example and represented in the accompanying drawings in which

Figure 7 is a sectional view of the filaments arranged in a loop, straight or inclined.
Figure 8 is a section through a more advanced game element.
In FIG. 1 we find the body of the play element (1), the peripheral part of which includes a groove for a seal (4) of O-shaped material and hardness defined for given rebounds.
This joint is easily interchangeable to change the reactions of the playing element on the edge of the track or on another playing element.
The body of the playing element (1) has its upper surface completely free to benefit from inscriptions, among other advertising.
The rounded outer edges of this surface can also allow the play element to be used in the reverse position to slide it over non-aggressive surfaces, but which cannot be used in the normal design of the play element (for example on a carpet or carpet where the vertical filaments would block sliding in normal operation, while the playing element can slide correctly on the back while retaining its rebound qualities).
In the lower part, a circular crown (2) of filament is fixed by means of the washer (3) and the screw (5).
The crown consists of a fine and circular brush of filaments as in FIG. 2 or of a segmented brush as in FIG. 3. All arrangements such as FIGS. 4 and 5 for example are possible, that the filaments are assembled in parallel (Figure 6) or looped (Figure 7).
In Figure 8 we give a more advanced solution where the body of the element is in two parts (6) and (7) connected together by a thread which holds in position a peripheral seal (8). The seal (8) as in the previous solution, remains interchangeable with another, of a different hardness for example, but with the advantage of being able to compress it more or less so as to modify its reactions on the playing strips. volume V can, for this type of embodiment, serve as a ballast reserve for modifying the weight of the play element so as to modify its behavior, it can also have a movable ballast carried out by way of a lead ball, of so as to give random effects to the movements of the game elements.
The playing element according to the invention is more particularly intended to play by sliding like a puck on any perfect or not perfect track, intended solely for this use, being neither aggressive nor noisy on any ground not intended for this use, such as tiling, parquet or floor covering, carpets or rugs, using plinths or furniture as an edge. The playing element will be sized according to the playing track for which it is intended. The following orders of magnitude are given for information only from one to two centimeters in diameter for a miniature track (bar track), from five to six centimeters in diameter for a medium track (table or floor track) and up to '' at twenty centimeters for an indoor game. The largest elements can be provided with a gripping system, fixed or removable. The means of propulsion of the playing element can itself be very varied directly by hand for small elements, using a stick or a broom or even a catapult for larger elements .
