Abstract

The subject of the present invention is an electrical commutator having slip rings and its method of manufacture. It consists of two insulating pieces (6) and (7) surrounding two conductors (3) and (4) associated with the rings (1) and (2) which, by friction, provide electrical continuity between a fixed piece and a rotating piece (which carries the commutator). This commutator is noteworthy in that it is the rings, crimped by electromagnetic forming, which ensure retention of all the component pieces of said commutator.
