Abstract

The invention relates to a device for handling seed, including a hopper cover and which can be fitted to the front fork of a tractor. This device comprises: a support having two teeth (1) receiving the pallet (2) on which the grain bins (3) are located, a fold-down lid (4) acting as a hopper when tipped. According to the invention, this device is particularly intended for the handling of seeds and for the mechanised loading of the seed drill.

Description

DESCRIPTION
The invention relates to a seed handling device capable of transforming into a distributor thanks to its tilting and its hopper to facilitate loading of the seed drill.

 The seeds are generally packaged in 50 kg bags, the handling of which is extensive and not very mechanized on farms.

On mixed farms, polyculture - livestock, part of the seeds used is taken directly by the farmer from his previous harvest.

 The fact of storing the seeds in specially designed or more economically recovered cans, like old 215-liter oil cans, makes it possible to envisage mechanization of the movements and transfer of the seed into the seed drill.

The cans positioned on a pallet, grouped by four, can be moved in a block, thanks to a device adaptable on the front fork of a tractor, and even stacked on two heights for storage.

The amount thus displaced, depending on the nature of the seed can go up to 600 kg for four cans. It is possible to consider the same principle for only two cans.

 The device according to the invention allows, with the handling tool, to fill the seed drill with a cover having a hopper cone provided with doors, and which covers the seed cans.

The whole becomes a grain distributor.

 I1 comprises a support provided with two teeth, a cover forming a hopper, return rods, one or two jacks.

This hopper cover is supported by and oriented on the tractor loader. Nuni with two bars, it holds the cans in position when the assembly is tilted and moved.

The tilting causes the grains to flow into the hopper where sliding doors allow the loading of the seed drill to be controlled.

As long as it contains seeds, the whole remains in the tilted position.

When the field is finished, if there is seed left, it is transferred back into empty cans and the set thus freed is ready for handling
The cover is operated by one or two hydraulic cylinders.

Return rods allow, when these cylinders fold the cover, to move the load away from the main mast by increasing the tipping angle insufficient on the loader.

 According to particular embodiments - the axis of rotation of the assembly can be located halfway up the support, the shape of the hopper will be different. The rotation of the assembly would then be a half-turn on the side; this solution would allow a gain in height between the ground and the hopper, but it would no longer require hydraulic.

- The pallet which supports the cans can include spherical cavities adapted to the latter for better support.

It can be made of wood or metal.

It can be made up of four individual supports, which can be linked together as required; which would allow individual movement of the cans using a suitable wheelbarrow with bags.

With reference to these drawings, the operating principle which is the subject of the claim is as follows:
The teeth of the handling or support assembly, figure n 1 (l) are threaded under the pallet (2) supporting the grain canisters (3), the hopper cover in figure n "2 (4) is folded over the canisters and held by the jacks (5). The hopper cover figures n "4 and 6 has two horizontal bars (6) which place the cans on the pallet as well as a hopper space (7) where the grain will gather during the tilting.

 Thanks to the return bars in figure n "3 (8), the loader cylinders (11) allow sufficient tipping of the assembly above the seed drill.

The sliding doors in figure 5 (9) of the hopper are maneuvered to fill the seed drill. Folded sheets (10), attached to the orifices, make it possible to channel the grain as it leaves.

 The device is particularly intended, according to the invention, to facilitate with the same assembly, the handling and loading of seeds into the seed drill.

Claims (7)

 1) Device for moving and dumping grains in a seed drill, characterized in that it comprises:  - a handling assembly (1) provided with teeth for lifting the pallets (2),  - cans (3) containing the semen,  - a hopper cover (4) provided with sliding doors (9), actuated by jacks (5),  - return bars (8).  2) Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the handling tool is transformed into a grain distributor by tilting.  3) Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the containers used are cans.  4) Device according to claim 1 and characterized in that the hopper cover (4) is supported by the loader (11) of the tractor and oriented thereon.  5) Device according to claim 1 and characterized in that the hopper cover (4) provided with bars (6) ensures the maintenance of the cans during transport and tilting.  6) Device according to claims 1 3 or 5 and characterized in that the axis of rotation of the assembly is central.  7) Device according to claims 1 or 3 and characterized in that the pallet (2) supporting the cans (3) is composed of four individual supports, interconnected.
