Abstract

A light source is embodied in the razor or other device, (electric or non-electric) being used to shave or otherwise remove hair. Local illumination is created either generally or in the immediate vicinity of the area being treated. The device has a sensor or sensors to detect the presence of hair or bristle, with output applied to produce for the user an audible signal or screen display. The output may be applied to the control of the device itself, so that it responds appropriately to the presence of hairs or to the quality of cut.

Claims
