Abstract

The rectangular panel has four bar sections (12,14,13,11) around its periphery, and is held vertically by a support (2). The bar sections have light emitting diodes on one of the vertical and horizontal bars (E1,e1), with corresp. photodetectors (R1,r1) along the opposite vertical and horizontal bars. The light sources delineate a number of zones (S11, S12..). A set of six zones are delineated by flexible rubber markings (3-7). The player aims the ball to a particular area, and the ball cuts one of the light beams, causing display of the resultant area hit on the display unit (9) via a detection circuit (8). The results can also be stored in a computer (10). USE/ADVANTAGE - E.g. for football or handball target practice. Allows player to practise shots for improving control over his movements.
