Abstract
Description
OF A GAS STREAM
The present invention relates to a sheath intended to convey a gas stream from a generator of such a stream to a device for receiving said gaseous stream for its use. More particularly, the invention relates to a sheath provided with a silencer so as to convey said gaseous under optimal acoustic conditions. The invention finds more particularly application in the aeronautical or railway field, in which it is necessary to convey gaseous air streams, in particular hot or cold air from a means generating hot or cold air such as means of heating, to rooms where the current of hot or cold air is used.
The routing of such a gas stream under these conditions raises a number of problems.
First of all, it is advisable to convey the air under acceptable acoustic conditions, in particular for example so as not to obstruct the passengers in the application of such ducts to the ventilation of transport premises. However, the ducts are connected to the air generator which represents a source of noise.
In addition, the passage of the air itself through the ducts causes an undesirable acoustic emission.
An attempt has therefore been made to solve this problem, in a known manner, by producing the sheaths in the form of two concentric tubes of rigid material, the internal tube defining the passage of air, being perforated, and the annular space between the two. tubing being filled with a sound absorbing material.
Cette construction connue donne relativement satisfaction. This known construction is relatively satisfactory.
However, it raises manufacturing and use difficulties.
First, typically, the tubing is made of metal such as sheet metal and welded aluminum. The perforations provided on the internal tubing are made by removing material.
This embodiment is expensive taking into account the numerous operations which it is necessary to have recourse to for the production of the pipes.
In addition, the metal design of these pipes results in a relatively large weight of the latter.
These two drawbacks are extremely annoying and increase the cost of production and operation of these sheaths, if we want to meet certain acoustic standards.
In addition, the metal sheaths are a vehicle for the propagation of vibrations from the generator. This drawback is in addition to the others mentioned above.
Finally, in the case of ventilation duct following an eventful contour, the production by tubular and welded aluminum of the pipes, represents an important work, and therefore expensive.
The present invention overcomes these drawbacks and proposes a sheath for conveying a gas stream, such as a ventilation duct, which is simple and inexpensive to produce, and ensuring the routing of the gaseous stream under satisfactory acoustic conditions, and avoiding the propagation of vibrations, while allowing the production of a sheath along a very eventful contour, without breaking the profile.
To this end, according to the invention, the sheath for conveying a stream of gas, comprises two concentric pipes / made of mineral or organic material, namely a first pipe defining the passage of said stream and provided with perforations, and a second tubing, concentric with said first tubing and of a diameter greater than that of the latter, the annular space between the first and the second tubing being filled with a material having acoustic absorption properties.
- la figure 2 est une coupe selon l'axe A-A de la figure 1.The invention will be clearly understood in the light of the appended drawings, in which:
- Figure 1 is a schematic representation, partially broken away, of an embodiment of a sheath according to the invention; and
- Figure 2 is a section along the axis AA of Figure 1.
T bearing the reference 10, the base 10a of which is connected for example to the air generator, and the two lateral branches of the T formed by the connection 10 are connected respectively to a sheath 11 and a sheath 12.
The invention will be described below in the example of a ventilation duct intended for the routing of hot or cold air, coming from a generator (known in itself and not shown).
The sheath according to the invention comprises a first tube, or internal tube bearing the reference 4, and defining the passage of ventilated air.
Concentrically to the first tube 4 is disposed a second tube carrying the references 122 for the sheath 12 and 112 for the sheath 11, of diameter greater than the first tube.
For example, the diameter of the inner tube or first tube 4 is of the order of 80 mm, while the diameter of the second tube 2 is of the order of 140 mm.
The internal annular space defined between the first 4 and the second tubing 2 is occupied by an annular sleeve 5 made of a material having acoustic absorption properties. By way of example, the material 5 consists of rock wool or rock wadding.
The inner tubing 4 is preferably made of a woven organic or mineral material, impregnated with thermosetting resin. For example, the internal tubing can be made of Kevlar (registered trademark), or of woven carbon or glass fibers.
The second tube 2 is either itself made of a material identical to the inner tube 4, or made of a monolithic woven material.
The internal tubing 4 has perforations regularly arranged on its surface, preferably
Molding surfaces.
Preferably, the inner and outer tubes are made by molding, that is to say by applying a sheet of woven material on a mandrel or inside a half-shell, then the fabric is impregnated with thermosetting resin, and the assembly is subjected to polymerization, which causes the resin to harden, by application of heat in an oven or in an autoclave. The resins which can be used are of the polyester, epoxy or phenolic type.
As regards the internal tubing, the production of perforations is carried out by a loose mesh weaving playing the role of the perforations.
A sheath is thus obtained having technical characteristics at least equal to those of the prior art, but of reduced mass, and having better sound absorption properties, in particular due to the absence of transmission of vibrations due to the generator.
The invention is not limited to the embodiment shown but on the contrary includes any variant, as referred to by the claims below.
