Pour former ce fond à partir d'un rabat intérieur (12), de deux rabats intermédiaires (13) et d'un rabat extérieur (14) présentant une languette (33) assurant le verrouillage mutuel des rabats en s'engageant dans une encoche (22) du rabat intérieur (12), entre les rabats intermédiaires (13), pour se superposer localement au rabat intérieur (12), on place le rabat intérieur (12), les rabats intermédiaires (13) et le rabat extérieur (14) dans une position transitoire dans laquelle ils pénètrent à l'intérieur de l'ébauche (1) de boîte et se succèdent dans cet ordre de l'intérieur vers l'extérieur de celle-ci, en décalant toutefois la languette (33) du rabat extérieur (14) vers l'intérieur de l'ébauche (1) par rapport à l'encoche (22) du rabat intérieur (12), puis on tire le rabat intérieur (12) vers l'extérieur de l'ébauche (1) en retenant la languette (33) pour qu'elle reste décalée vers l'intérieur de l'ébauche (1) par rapport au rabat extérieur (12), jusqu'à amener les rabats (12, 13, 14) dans une position de verrouillage mutuel par l'intermédiaire de la languette (33).
