Abstract

The syringe comprises a rod (2) and piston which can slide inside a barrel (3) suitable for receiving a cartridge (4) of the substance to be injected, closed by a stopper (5) at one end. The rod has one end equipped with a handle (6) and the other with a head (7) which can apply a pressure to the stopper and expel the substance from the cartridge. The section of the head (7) is substantially the same as that of the inside of the cartridge and it can be equipped with a ring (11), leaving a small clearance or capillary channel which allows air to escape when the rod and stopper and depressed. The barrel of the syringe can be in the form of a detachable sleeve which contains the cartridge and is equipped with the needle (8). USE/ADVANTAGE - The syringe is esp. suitable for use in dentistry. The design of the syringe is simple and the prod. is more convenient to use.
