Abstract

A connecting shaft (4) is locked into a rectangular support block (1) which defines the head end of a pedicular implant screw (2). The upper face of the implant screw head has a longitudinal groove (3), and its lateral edges define a pair of tenons (5) running along its whole length. A cap (6) secures the shaft against the groove. The inner surface of the cap includes a groove of part-circular cross-section, and a pair of lateral channels (8) which cooperate in a sliding manner with the tenons of the screw head. A screw (9) passes through the cap to secure it against the head. ADVANTAGE - Rapid securing with degree of longitudinal adjustment to suit different patients.
