Abstract

The racquet (or racket) is a box formed by two parts (1,2) joined by a hinge (3) at one end. The circular or oval playing surfaces are on the outer inclined surfaces of the box. The wrist of the player is put through a hole (5), opposite the hinge and the hand is held by a strap (10) fixed inside the lower part (2). The two parts of the box are clipped together with their edges meeting. Holes (4a,4b,4c) in the edges aerate and lighten the racket. The strap is fixed by two loops (8,9) and has hooked pile fasteners on its outer surface. USE - Racket which is fixed to the hand for ball games such as table tennis.
