Abstract

The cathode tube uses a semi-reflecting mirror, to obtain an indirect image by reflection. The tube is enclosed in a container (1) with a top lid (1A) having the semi-reflecting mirror (3) attached pivotally. The screen assembly (2) is held by a support (2B). The semi-reflecting mirror faces the user and the screen is at a 45 deg angle to the top lid. The mirror is fixed on each side by a lateral pivot (4) to allow adjustment of the angle fo inclination of the mirror, for good alignment in viewing. The system allows lateral inversion of the image, with inversion of two wires on the lateral deflection coil of the cathode tube. USE/ADVANTAGE - E.g. microcomputer display. Shields viewer from low frequency magnetic field from deflection system, and from IR and UV radiation emitted from screen.
