Abstract

A pattern reading appts. consists of a housing (1) with a slot (2), contg. a pair of rollers linked by gears and rotated by a knob on one or both ends of the housing to move the pattern through the slot. The upper surface of the housing has a support (3) to hold the pattern in a convenient position for reading, a magnifying panel (4) to enlarge the print, and a lamp (10) to illuminate it.
