Abstract

Vehicle wheel hub (2) made up of a carrying axle (8), a rolling-contact bearing (9) mounted on the said axle, a flange (5) supporting the wheel (2) centred on the latter and a sealing cap (20) immobilised in contact with a radial flange (3) carrying the rim of the wheel, characterised by the fact that the wall (22) of the sealing cap (20) bears a radial fold making up a stop piece which axially compresses a seal mounted so that it bears on the outer race (6) of the rolling-contact bearing (9) and so that said fold is extended axially by a bearing surface for setting into the said outer race (6).
