Abstract

Device for picking up and gathering together round bales of straw or hay, as they leave the press. It comprises, mounted on a chassis (1) extended by a jib (10), on the one hand, a movable collecting plate (2) capable of moving firstly in terms of horizontal translation then in terms of rotation in a vertical plane, under the effect of two hydraulic thrust cylinders (80) and, on the other hand, a storage chamber (7) located to the rear of the said collecting plate (2) and formed of two inclined side members (74) forming the floor of the said chamber (7), bordered bilaterally by two slideways (72) and extended forwards by two hoops (70), the said chamber (7) being equipped at its rear end with a pivoting (swing) door (76).

Description

 the present invention relates to an agricultural machine tJermecting the recovery of round bales at their outlet, under the press, and their grouping in a storage chamber.

 Currently when baling straws and fodder the farmer deposits them individually after their manufacture, so that once the work is done all the elements are scattered in the field.

 The machine for grouping round bales according to the invention overcomes this drawback. This in fact can be coupled to the rear of the press and includes a mobile bale collecting platform controlled from the tractor by a hydraulic system. This plate, under the effect of two jacks, collects the bale under the press at the exit of the latter, moves it backwards and tilts it on an inclined plane which constitutes the floor of the storage chamber, then returns back to its original position to retrieve the next ball.

 The movable recovery plate of the machine according to the invention comprises a receiving plate for positioning the bale, on the edges of which are fixed two profiled vertical plates serving for centering the bale on leaving the press and a frame on the 'before which said plate is fixed; the assembly is supported on three rollers: a central roller fixed in the middle and at the front of the frame, and mounted in free rotation on an arrow extending the chassis; two rollers fixed bilaterally on an axis forming the rear upright of the frame, and moving in two parallel raceways.

 The mobile collecting platform can first move in a linear fashion: two arms, each composed of two articulated connecting rods, are pivotally fixed, on the one hand at each end of the axis forming the front upright of the frame supporting the bale receiving plate , on the other hand on two axes placed bilaterally on a transverse bar located at the rear end of the two raceways, two grooved stops being placed identically between the two axes on said bar, so that these two arms are articulated along these three axes of rotation, thus making it possible to move the recovery plate over the length of the boom and the raceways.

 The tray can thus be pulled out until the axis which forms the rear upright of the frame supporting the bale receiving plate and at the ends of which the two rollers are pivotally fixed comes to engage in the two grooved stops, which are located on a bar placed transversely at the end of the raceways in which the two rollers roll.

 When the axis is housed in the grooved stops, the axis-stops assembly forms an axis of rotation for the recovery plate, which is forced to continue its movement in rotation under the effect of the continuous traction of the jacks on the articulated arms: thus the recovery plate passes from the horizontal position to the vertical position, the articulated arms being folded and pivoting around said axis of rotation.

 When the tray arrives in a vertical position, the bale falls on the floor of the storage chamber, consisting of two inclined beams, the bale being guided by two arches and by two slides located bilaterally relative to the beams, and rolling on the latter to stay in the storage room, blocked by the rear door.

 When the farmer wants to deposit the bales grouped in the storage chamber, it will be enough for him, for example by means of a switch located on the tractor, to control the electric opening of the rear door, which can pivot around a axis located on the upper part at the rear of the storage chamber: the bales thus released will roll under the effect of their own weight on the inclined plane to the ground.

 The advantages and characteristics of the present invention will emerge more clearly from the description which follows and which refers to the appended drawing, which represents a non-limiting embodiment thereof.

 If we refer to Figures la and lb we can see that the ball collecting device according to the invention comprises a frame 1 mounted on two wheels extended by an arrow 10 and supporting a recovery plate 2 composed of a recovery plate 20 on the edges of which are fixed two profiled plates 201, the plate 20 being mounted on a frame 21 comprising in the front a roller 28 in free rotation rolling on the arrow 10, and at the rear an axis 24 at the ends of which are fixed in free rotation two rollers 26 rolling in two raceways 5.

 Two parallel articulated arms 3 are mounted on the frame 21, each consisting of two connecting rods 30, 31 articulated around an axis 33, each arm 3 being mounted at one end on an axis 32 positioned at the front part of the frame 21, and at the other end on an axis 34, two jacks 80 being fixed to the rear connecting rods 31 by a clip 36.

 The arms 3 are articulated so as to form a triangle 32, 33, 34, the base 32, 34 of which decreases in length when the recovery plate 2 moves in translation, pulled by the arms 3, under the effect of the jacks 80 .

 The two raceways 5 have at one end two stops 50 fixed on a transverse bar 56, the details of which are shown in FIGS. 3a and 3b, and in which the axis 24 engages, the assembly forming an axis of rotation 51 around which the recovery plate 2 pivots.

 The storage chamber 7 is formed by two inclined side members 74, forming the floor, the rising edges being formed by arches 70 extended by slides 72.

Chamber 7 is closed by a door 76 pivoting about an axis 77.

 If we refer to FIGS. 2a and 2b, we see there the detail of the recovery plate 2, composed of the recovery plate 20 mounted on the frame 21 at the front of which the roller 28 is mounted in free rotation on the axis 29, and at the rear of which the two rollers 26 are mounted in free rotation on the axis 24.

 The axis 24 can be engaged in the stops 50 fixed on the bar 56, the details of which are shown in FIGS. 3a and 3b, thus forming the axis of rotation 51 around which the collecting plate 2 pivots.

 If one refers to FIGS. 3a and 3b, one sees there the detail of a raceway 5, comprising a beam of U-section in which the roller 26 comes to roll, and a transverse bar 56 and perpendicular to said raceway supporting a stop 50 and a tab 35 on which is fixed the axis 34 of articulation of the arm 3, the stop 50 having a groove allowing it to shelter the axis 24 on which are fixed the rollers 26 integral with the frame 21 of the plate recuperator 2.

 î) Device for recovering and grouping round bales of straw or hay, as they exit the press, characterized in that it comprises, mounted on a chassis (1) extended by an arrow (10), on the one hand a movable collecting plate (2) capable of moving first in horizontal translation then in rotation in a vertical plane, under the effect of two hydraulic cylinders (80), and on the other hand a storage chamber (7 ) disposed behind said collecting plate (2) and formed by two inclined beams (74) forming the floor of said chamber (7), bordered bilaterally by two slides (72) extended forward by two arches (70), said chamber (7) being provided at its rear end with a pivoting door (76). 2) Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the mobile collecting plate (2) consists of a receiving plate (20) bordered bilaterally by two profiled plates (201) and mounted on a frame (21) provided with the before a roller (28) in free rotation on the boom (10) and at the rear of an axis (24) at the two ends of which are mounted in free rotation two rollers (26) rolling in two raceways ( 5). 3) Device according to claim 1 or claim 2, characterized in that the movable recovery plate (2) is integral with two articulated arms (3) actuated by the two hydraulic cylinders (80), the two articulated arms (3) are each comprising two connecting rods (30, 31) articulated around an axis (33), each anterior connecting rod (30) being mounted at its end on an axis (32) positioned at the front part of the frame (21), and each rear link (31) on an axis (34), the two jacks (80) being fixed to the rear links (31) by a fastener (36).  4) Device according to claim 2 or claim 3, characterized in that the raceways (5) have at their rear end two stops (50) fixed on a crossbar (56) and in which the axis (24) of the frame (21) can be housed so as to form with said stops (50) the axis of rotation (51) around which the recovery plate (2) can pivot in a vertical plane under the effect of the jacks (80) .
