Abstract

The device according to the invention comprises: -a spectrocolorimeter (1) for analysing the colour of the existing dental structure (2, 3) in the vicinity of the site (4) of the restoration to be performed, - a dispenser (9) of defined and adjustable quantities of a plurality of base components, of different shades, in paste or gel form, - a mixer (19) placed at the outlet of the dispenser (9) in order to produce a mixture of at least two components, -and a programmed data processing unit (5) comprising, in its memory, the colorimetric characteristics of each of the base components, this unit being connected via its inlets to the spectrocolorimeter (1) and to a manual device (6) for introducing the quantity of substance necessary, and via its outlets to the dispenser (9) and to the mixer (19) in such a way as to control, following calculation, the number and the quantities of components to be dispensed, as well as the mixing of these, in order to obtain the desired quantity of substance of the analysed colour.
