La présente invention concerne d'une manière générale les articles destinés à la protection de la literie. De nombreux articles de forme et de conception différentes sont actuellement disponibles sur le marché et l'on peut classer ceux-ci en trois groupes. Dans le premier groupe on englobera les articles tels que housse de matelas, drap-housse ou plateau réalisés en tissu non imperméabilisé. Ceux-ci sont maintenus convenablement au matelas par des élastiques situés sur leur pourtour dans le cas des draps-housses ou dans chaque coin pour les plateaux.Ces articles quelle que soit la matière utilisée pour leur confection, usuellement un tissu chaîne et trame ou un tricot indémaillable ou encore une matière épaisse généralement connue sous le nom de molleton, n'assurent pas une bonne protection de la literie puisqu'ils ne sont pas imperméables."Protective bed sheet for children or adults"
