Abstract

Device for signalling decelerations by road vehicles by the use of the existing and approved orange lights. The invention relates to a device allowing the use of the already-approved orange lights. In order to signal decelerations while keeping the current functions of these lights as priorities: - hazard warning lamps: complete priority - flashing direction-change light priority on the side required for use, the other side remaining available for signalling the deceleration. The deceleration is signalled by illuminating the orange lights continuously by means of a contactor placed on the acceleration control system and triggered when the latter returns to zero. As the side and stop lights are often confused, the dead time without signalling between releasing the accelerator and braking is often fatal, the system according to the invention has been designed with the aim of avoiding many fatal accidents.
