Abstract

The running sole of the invention is characterised in that it has a flexible metallic face for contact with the snow and raised longitudinal edges carrying members for fastening (binding) and immobilisation with respect to the ski placed between the said edges.

Description

 The invention relates to a removable sole for skis and aims in particular a sole intended to facilitate the sliding of skis by reducing friction in contact with artificial tracks. The invention preferably applies to multi-use skiing as described in patent FR 85/18228 filed in the name of the applicant.

 The invention relates to a removable sole facilitating the evolution of skiing on slopes or at the start of ski lifts, in particular in the event of bad snow, and especially outside the winter period.

 The invention also relates to a removable sole for multi-purpose ski allowing the sliding of leisure in season and out of winter season.

 The invention also relates to a removable sole not subject to contact heating, preferably intended for short skis, as described in the aforementioned patent, for which the lack of camber, the parallelism and the small width are advantageously exploited to facilitate slips on any artificial turf covering.

 According to the invention, the removable sole has a flexible metal face for contact with the track and raised longitudinal edges carrying fixing and immobilizing means relative to the ski when it is disposed between said edges.

 According to another characteristic of the sole, the basic metal face is embossed or supports small balls in order to facilitate sliding, but above all to increase the heat exchange surface and to facilitate turns. It can also remain flat and smooth depending on the covering material used.

 Other characteristics of the invention will appear on reading the following description of an exemplary embodiment thereof made with reference to the appended drawing in which - Figure 1 is a perspective representation of the sole, - the FIG. 2 is a representation of the sole mounted on the ski, FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view of the ski along line 3-3 in FIG. 2.

 According to the drawing, the sole 10 has hooking ends 11, 12 intended for the longitudinal retention of the tip 13 and the heel 14 and the ski 15.

 The sole is formed from a stamped flexible sheet, the longitudinal edges 16 of which are raised, carry straps or fasteners 17, 17 'for retaining the skis 15.

 The outer underside 18 of the sole 10 has small bumps, or sliding balls, substantially uniformly distributed with a density of about sixty to the square decimetre.

 The sole 10 thus produced constitutes a removable sheath which is fixed from front to rear, due to the design of the ski (thickness increasing from front to rear) allowing total security of retention, allowing practice ski on artificial surface, with better dissipation of the heat developed in contact with the surface of the sole while increasing the slip.

 The connection of the edges 16 with the face 18 of the sole is effected by means of a rounding 21 which favors the lateral skid of the ski when cornering and reduces the progressive wear of the covering constituting the artificial track or synthetic grass. .

Removable sole for skis, intended to reduce friction in contact with artificial tracks while promoting sliding, characterized by the fact that it has a flexible metallic face, in contact with the track and raised longitudinal edges carrying organs fixing and immobilization with respect to the ski placed between said edges.  2. Sole according to claim 1, characterized in that the metallic sliding face comprises bumps or balls.  3. Sole according to claim 3, characterized in that the balls are distributed substantially uniformly at a rate of about 60 to the square decimeter.
