Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an article for making a decoration based on plants (plants, cut flowers ...) simple to make and easily transformable.
A plant or floral composition is generally made up of a bouquet of cut flowers in a vase or an arrangement of plants in a more or less dressed pot.
The form and variety of arrangements find a limit in the structure of the vase or pot which, in addition to keeping the plants together, serves as a support for these compositions by presenting a lower surface by which the article can rest on the ground, any table or plan.
The present invention intends to propose a decorative article by which the presentation of the floral arrangement is modified thanks in particular to a support of the plant or plants different from traditional pots or vases. This support makes it possible to arrange the plants in a space devoid of support plans or shelves and, in a preferred embodiment, to achieve color marriages not only by the play of flowers or plants but also by that of the colors of the substrate. in which the flower or plant is planted.
To this end the invention therefore more specifically relates to a decorative article comprising at least one plant and a support for this plant which comprises at least one pocket produced by the linear junction of two superposed sections of plastic material, forming a receptacle for a substrate in which the plant is planted.
At least one wall of the pocket has a rib produced by a fold back of one of the panels obtained by linear junction of the panel on itself.
Advantageously, the interior volume of at least one of the folds is in communication with the interior volume of the pocket by its lower part devoid of junction line.
At least one of the plastics sections is transparent, and according to a secondary characteristic, one of the sections is made of a more rigid material than that of the other section.
In a variant, the article of the invention comprises a plurality of pockets produced on a panel capable of hanging eyelets. Finally, the support may also include a base from which said pocket hangs.
The invention will be better understood during the description given below by way of purely indicative and nonlimiting example which will make it possible to identify the advantages and the secondary characteristics thereof.
Reference will be made to the accompanying drawings in which - Figure 1 is a schematic view of a decorative article according to the invention, - Figure 2 shows an alternative embodiment of the invention in the form of a decorative panel, - Figure 3 shows the association of an article according to the invention and a base.
Referring first to Figure 1, we see that the article according to the invention comprises a plant 1 (cut plant or flower), a support 2 forming a receptacle for a substrate 3 in which the plant is planted. The support 2 is produced in the form of a pocket by folding a sheet material (plastic material) and gluing the two sides of the folded sheet along a seam chosen as a function of the shape desired for the support. For example, the support 2, shown in Figure 1 is made from a rectangular sheet, folded back on itself, the two sides thus formed being substantially square. The fold being located in 2a, the panels are welded by heat-sealing, if the plastic material is suitable, or are glued in 2b along the side of the square adjacent to the fold 2a. shape by making one or more folds on one or other of its sides. We see two of these folds 4 and 5, obtained by gluing or heat-sealing the sheet on itself along a line 4a, 5a oriented in the direction of the tip 6 of the pocket. These folds constitute stiffening ribs of the support and can advantageously play the role of reserve of irrigation water. Indeed, with regard to the fold 4 for example, the junction line 4a is interrupted in the vicinity of the tip 6 which allows communication between the interior volume of the fold 4 and the interior volume of the pocket through which the water poured into the fold 4 can pass into the substrate 3. It is of course possible to vary infinitely the possible forms of the support 2.
In particular, this support may comprise, in addition to the ribs and the supply and water supply channels, several compartments which may each contain substrate in which different flowers or plants are planted.
This support will advantageously be made of transparent plastic. We can thus see the color of the substrate used which can be potting soil but also any synthetic substrate (plastic foam, rock wool, fibers, aggregates ...) containing or not hydrophilic materials and which can be variously colored.
Finally, the support will include at least one eyelet 7 to allow it to be hung or suspended.
It should also be noted that if in the example shown the material of the support is identical whatever the side, a support according to the invention can be produced by assembling sheets of different characteristics.
One of the sheets, for example, can be much thicker or much more rigid than the other so as to constitute a bottom panel on which the other sheet is attached pleated applied to this panel. Similarly, one of the leaves can be colored and the other transparent. In addition, the sheets may not have the same final dimension, one of which may greatly exceed the other.
FIG. 2 illustrates for this purpose an alternative embodiment of the decorative object or article according to the invention in which each of the supports 8 is produced by a common bottom panel 9 provided with suspension eyelets 9a and on which several pleated and ribbed sheets 10 of different outline in particular to be in harmony with the nature of the corresponding plant.
Finally, in FIG. 3, it can be seen that a decorative object according to the invention can be associated with a base 11 (here tubular) by means of suspension eyelets 7a, 7b which it has. The assembly constitutes a vase for cut flowers or pot that can rest on a plan for rooted plants or plants.
The article according to the invention has many advantages. First of all, the manufacture of the support is very inexpensive. Then, this support before filling occupies only a limited volume, which makes it possible to sell it by correspondence very easily alone or with an assortment of substrates, seeds and instructions for carrying out plantings at home. The support can also be used as teaching or teaching material to illustrate a planting, germination, rooting of a plant, or layering, cutting ...
In addition, this support allows the implementation of a lesser amount of substrate (potting soil or growing medium "above-ground") than traditional pots given the ability to easily adapt the shape of the support to the shape of the plant and its root. The fact that thus the decorative article can be light in weight, that it includes a reserve of water allowing it a significantly greater autonomy than does a conventional pot, that the support comprises a simple eyelet for hanging facilitating its packaging in a cardboard window packaging, it becomes possible to envisage a general public distribution, of the type of large-scale store, of rare or fragile plants usually reserved for the distribution channels of florist retailers. We can even foresee through this mass distribution for bouquets of cut flowers planted in an appropriate hydrophilic substrate.
Furthermore, the plastic materials in sheets being very varied, the support of the article according to the invention may be intended to constitute, in addition to the container of the necessary or vegetable substrate, the packaging itself of the plant or of the bouquet, which 'just hang or associate with a base to enhance it.
It should also be noted that the invention lends itself to multiple applications. Thus, among other things, it can constitute a support for advertising or decorative inscriptions attached to the plastic by screen printing. One can also associate the content with supports of different shape and nature from those of the tubular support of FIG. 3. It can be a rigid plastic body which itself constitutes support for another article (clock, calendar, photographs ...) and which includes means for retaining the pouch. These retaining means may for example be constituted by a lateral groove formed in this body receiving a bead of the pouch (in particular a weld allowance or a small rib). This rigid body can be constituted by an extension of one of the constituent elements of the container if it has sufficient rigidity or thickness.
Of course, the plastic used can be transparent, translucent, colored, treated to form a screen with ultra-violet rays ...
The invention finds an interesting application in the field of the horticultural industry.
