Abstract

The present invention is in the field of surgical techniques. It relates to a method for production of a material intended for a bone prosthesis, characterised in that a spongy bone tissue taken from a living organism is compacted in a mould at a pressure of the order of 500 to 1000 hPa, and the device for carrying out the method comprises a cylindrical cavity 1, forming a mould 1', provided with a removable base 2, the cavity and the base being provided with openings 11, a plunger 3 intended to slide in the said cavity, and means 5 for applying to the plunger a controlled force tending to drive it into the cylinder.
