Abstract

Device making it possible to determine and display automatically the radio channels or frequencies available, especially within the frequency modulation band FM, in a region in which the user is located, and especially in a geographical area in which is travelling a motor vehicle equipped with a car radio, characterised in that it comprises: - a memory in which are stored the data relating to the various channels and frequencies available in the respective regions; - a unit for processing the information delivered by the said memory; - a search system 10 enabling the user to transmit to the memory an information item relating to the region whose available radio channels or frequencies he wishes to ascertain, and - an electronic data display system 12 providing the user, after interrogation, with the information relating to the channels and frequencies available in the desired region.

- un système de recherche permettant à l'utilisateur de transmettre à la mémoire une information concernant la zone dont il veut connaitre les canaux ou fréquences radio disponibles et,
- un système d'affichage électronique des données fournissant à l'utilisateur, après interrogation, les informations relatives aux canaux et fréquences disponibles dans la zone désirée.

- un système de commande et de recherche, réalisé ici sous la forme d'un clavier electronîque 10, de type classique, sur lequel l'utilisateur frappe l'identité de la ville ou de la zone géographique dont il veut obtenir les fréquences ou canaux disponibles, cette information étant transmise a une unité de traitement qui recherche dans la mémoire, à partir de l'identité demandée par l'utilisateur quels sont ces canaux ou fréquences et,
- un systeme d'affichage 12 pouvant être, par exemple du type a diodes électroluminescentes (LED) ou à cristaux liquides (LCD) , sur lequel vient s'inscrire en dessous de la ville ou de la zone géographique désirée les noms des stations disponibles dans cette ville ou dans cette zone, avec l'indication des canaux et frequences correspondant.
