Abstract

The invention relates to a simple, inexpensive device making it possible, on a standard magnetic tape, easily to record and sound-score videotex pages and to reproduce them audio-visually by connecting a minitel and a stereo tape recorder. It consists, in its recorder/reader version, of a box equipped: - externally, with two switches I1 and I2, with two luminous indicators L1 and L2, with a potentiometer P1, with a 5-pin DIN socket D1, with a telephone socket PT1, with a mains cable CS1 and with a telephone cable PT2; - internally, with an induction coil B1, with a capacitor C1, with an amplifier circuit A1, with a 220/12 volt transformer T1 and with a loudspeaker HP1. The device, according to the invention, is particularly intended for accompanying the recording and reproduction of videotex images with a spoken or musical commentary.

Description

RECORDING AND REPRODUCING DEVICE
SOUND VIDEOTEX PAGES.

 The present invention relates to a device (1) for recording and sounding videotex pages and ensuring their audio-visual reproduction on standard magnetic tapes.

 The recording of these videotex pages currently exists in visual only, no device offers the videotex image and the sound simultaneously.

 The device (1) according to the invention makes it possible to fill this gap.

Indeed, it uses, separately, the two channels of the stereo tape recorder
(3). The left channel being reserved for the sound and the right channel for the videotex image.

According to the device (1), the recording is carried out as follows
- the sound source (4) defined by the user - is directly recorded on the left channel of the stereo tape recorder (3) in the usual way by connection of the appropriate peripherals (it) (microphone, tape recorder, K7 turntable, disc or laser, tuner ...).

Note: device (1) and tape recorder (3) in the recording position, make it possible to record a telephone call.

 - the videotex image defined by the user is indirectly recorded on the right channel of the stereo tape recorder ~ (3) via the device (1).

 Diagram 1 illustrates the minitel (2) - device (1) - tape recorder (3) link.

 The different devices being associated, and, after usual connection to the chosen database, the videotex pages are recorded according to the instructions for use of the tape recorder (3) used. Images and sounds can be recorded simultaneously or separately.

Depending on the device (1), playback is carried out in the usual way according to the instructions for use of the tape recorder (3) used.
- the sound source (4) defined when recording on the left channel is reproduced by the amplifier circuit (Ai) incorporated and its volume adjusted using the potentiometer (P1)
- the videotex image defined when recording on the right channel is reproduced by the minitel (2) after connectionifin and appearance of the letter "C" at the top right of the screen.

 All the usual functions of the video recorder (3) are retained.

 In playback mode, an indicator light (L1) signals a call on hold, the switch of the switch Il in I ~ 'and the use of the tape recorder (3) in its recording function makes it possible to record the telephone call in progress, after lifting the handset.

 1) Device for recording and sounding videotex pages and allowing their audio-visual reproduction, characterized in that it uses standard magnetic tapes for stereo tape recorder (3).  2) Device according to claim 1, characterized in that it combines a minitel (2) and a stereo tape recorder (3).  3) Device according to claim 1 or claim 2, characterized in that it uses a channel for sound and a channel for the videotex image (in principle sound on the left and image on the right).  4) Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it allows the manufacture of pre-recorded cassettes for sale to the public.  5) Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it allows the broadcasting and radio and television of the audio-visual videotex pages and their reception on a stereo radio receiver.  6) Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it offers 3 recorder - reader versions and 6 reader variants.  7) Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it allows mobile or on-board use with a 12 Volt power supply by integrated 12/220 V converter for minitel (2).  8) Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it is the video recorder or the video of the minitel, by transforming an audio cassette (sound) into a video cassette (image and sound).  9) Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it allows the recording of telephone communication.  10) Device according to any one of the preceding claims,  characterized in that it signals (L1) a call on hold in reproduction mode.
