Abstract

The invention relates to a device for detecting the rectum and the hip bone of butchery animals after slaughter. It consists of a sensor 6 for directly measuring distance using ultrasound associated with an electric thrust cylinder 8. The device according to the invention is particularly intended for the apparatus for trimming around the rectum and cutting out the hip bone from butchery animals after slaughter.
