Abstract

Device for testing the reflexes of a motor vehicle driver, and the condition of the braking system of his vehicle. This device is designed on the basis of a microprocessor 1 which, by virtue of an appropriate program 2, processes data coming from the outside (condition of the braking system, reflexes of the driver), and, according to the results of the tests, allows or forbids starting of the vehicle by cutting the supply to the ignition circuit of the vehicle, by means of a relay 3. The reflex tests consist in reacting, within a given time interval, when one of two lights 7 and 8 is illuminated randomly, by pushing either on a button 5 or the brake pedal 4. The device allows the vehicle to be started in the case when the braking system exhibits no defect and/or the driver has reacted positively to one of the three trials of the reflex test.
