Abstract

The subject of the present invention is a femoral prosthesis device with distal stress dampers. The device according to the invention consists of the combination of a femoral prosthesis 1 with a medullary rod 5, comprising at least one longitudinal slot 8 in its distal part, and of the filling of this slot, or of these slots, with a silicone-based elastomer or the like. It is intended to be used in orthopaedic surgery, in particular in the field of hip prostheses.
