Abstract

Apparatus for cleaning signs, posts, fences, crash barriers and agricultural harvests. It consists of spinning brushes 7 moving in rails 6 attached to the housing 5. The control panel 1 in the vehicle uses its own hydraulic system to control the movements of the arm 2, the brushes 7, the spinning of the brushes 7 and the action of a pump 4 supplying water from the tank 3. The articulated system 8 of the brushes 7 allows lateral movements. The apparatus according to the invention is particularly intended for cleaning road, rail and dock installations and agricultural harvests.

Description

 The present invention relates to a device for washing and cleaning bicycles, traffic signs, beacons, barriers, fences, sider beds and agricultural crops.

 The cleaning of these elements is traditionally carried out by people provided with buckets, brushes and sponges.

 It is also possible to use a tank operating with the help of a motor or pump, or with a high-pressure cleaner connected to a generator. The manpower is important ~ (minimum two people) and the machines are expensive.

 The device according to the invention requires only one person and has better security.

 The mowing or washing arm, controlled by the hydraulic system of a vehicle, comprises at its end a washing device which consists of a niuni box of -rails. - Brooms, type automobile wash, of longline shape and variable length, move in these rails. Connected to a pump, a tank installed on the vehicle supplies the washing system.

In the case of a tractor, the tank is installed at the rear and also acts as a counterweight.

 The brush control, connected to the pump, causes the rotation of the brushes fitted with sprinklers, the action of the pump and the supply of water.

 A fitting and a tap, placed on the water inlet hose, feed a water lance.

 According to one variant, the washing arm, with its box (its brushes, the tank and the pump can be partly or entirely installed on an independent fixed plate. It is then sufficient, if necessary, to install the plate washing on the vehicle.

 According to a preferred embodiment, the brushes consist of several parts connected by articulated systems which allow their lateral movement.

 The movement of the arm, the brushes, the rotation of the brushes and the water supply are controlled from the dashboard by the vehicle's hydraulic system. A safety device stops or reverses the movement of the brushes if an obstacle is encountered.

 Another safety device prevents the brushes from rotating and stops the water supply in the event of a blockage.

 Figure 1 shows, seen from behind, the device according to the invention.

 Figure 2 shows, seen from behind, a variant of this device.

 The device shown in Figure 1 includes the dashboard (1) of a vehicle, the washing arm (R) and the washing box (5), in which there are rails (6). Brushes (7) move in these rails, their rotation activates a pump (4) which causes the supply of water contained in the tank (3). A safety device stops or reverses the movement of the brushes in the event of an obstacle being encountered, here a beacon (9). Another safety device prohibits the rotation of the brushes and the water supply in case of blockage.

 A fitting and a tap, installed on the water inlet hose, allow the use of a spray lance (in). The dashboard (1) of the vehicle controls, through its own hydraulic system, all washing functions.

 In the embodiment according to Figure 2, the brushes (7) made up of several parts connected by articulated systems (8) allow lateral movement and washing of a bicycle (11).

 The device according to the invention is particularly intended for washing and cleaning road, rail, river, port and agricultural installations.

 i) Device for cleaning traffic signs consisting of a vehicle comprising a washing arm (2) provided with a box (5) with rails (6) in which brushes (7) move in rotation with sprinklers water.  2) Device according to claim 1 characterized in that the dashboard (1) of the vehicle controls by its own hydraulic system the movement of the arm (2) and the brushes (7), their rotation and the water supply.  3) Device according to any one of the preceding claims characterized in that the rotation of the brushes (7) controls the action of the pump (4) which causes the supply of water contained in the tank (3).  4) Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the pump (4) is controlled from the dashboard (1) by the hydraulic system of the vehicle.  5) Device according to claims 1 and 2 characterized in that a safety stops or reverses the movement of the brushes (7).  6) Device according to claims 1 - 2 - 3 and 4 characterized in that a safety device stops the rotation of the brushes (7).  7) Device according to claims 1 - 2 and 4 characterized in that a connector and a tap allow the use of a spray lance (io).  8) Device according to claims 1 - 2 - 3 - 5 and 6 characterized in that the brush parts (7) connected by articulated systems (8) allow lateral movement of the brushes (7).  9) Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the washing system as a whole or in part is fixed on an independent plate.
