Abstract

An automatically cleaned shower is made up from three cells; a service cell, a shower cubicle and a disrobing room. The service cell contains all the elements required for operation e.g. water supply inlet, electricity mains input, filtering and descaling, cleaning, draining and ventilation. The disrobing room contains a weighing system in the floor calibrated to permit correct usage of the facilities. It detects if a child is unaccompanied or if there is more than one adult and prevents usage. The shower cell contains in addition to the usual facilities a ray emitted at a height of 80cms. above the floor which is used to provide an alarm and to unbolt the door if there is an abnormal or dangerous situation. ADVANTAGE - Portable, can be placed at normally inaccessable sites.
