Method and device which, connected to a private telephone network, allows automatic searching for a person simultaneously with any call of his set or the broadcasting of confidential messages without disturbing the surroundings. This device consists of a single element A and of multiple elements B and C. The element A is connected to the automatic exchange. It gathers all calls arriving at the automatic exchange and causes the latter to transmit, over all the lines of the internal telephone network, a code corresponding to the numbers called or to the messages to be broadcast. The elements B are very short range transmitters connected to the telephone sets. They pick up the transmissions from the element A and broadcast them over a radius of a few metres. The elements C are receivers carried by each person which pick up all the transmissions of the elements B and trigger a signal when one relates to the carrier.

The invention relates to a method and a device which, connected to a private telephone system, allows an automatic and simultaneous person search for any call from his extension.

By extension, this invention also allows the simultaneous dissemination of coded information to all personnel carrying this device. A more advanced version will even be able to broadcast simple messages to a single recipient, to all the carriers of the device or to some of them.

Such a device is intended to compensate for the fact that the movement of people within a company is responsible for the failure of many internal and external telephone calls, which leads to significant losses of time and efficiency and unnecessary maintenance. costs and the degree of saturation of the telephone network.

The device consists of three elements: - element A which is unique and which is the heart of the device, - elements B and C which are multiple.

Element A is connected in parallel to the PABX. Its role is to:
1. Recognize the called numbers, 2. Code these numbers, 3. Modulate a carrier by these codes,
4. Send this modulated carrier into the PABX so that it broadcasts it throughout the
indoor telephone network. The carrier frequency is such that it is not audible and that it is not likely to generate interference for other installations, in particular IT, close to the telephone network.

Thus, the element A is connected to the automatic exchange, on the one hand at the level of the entry of the calls and on the other hand, at the head of line of the internal telephone network.

The elements 5, which are connected to the connection terminals of the telephone sets are small radio transmitters. Their role consists in: 1. Receiving the modulated carrier which arrives on the telephone sets, 2. Amplifying the received signals and carrying out a possible change of frequency to allow their emission in the form of radio waves, 3. Emitting these signals in a radius of one to a few tens of metras.

The C elements are small radio receivers carried by each person. They are set to the code corresponding to their telephone number.

 The role of elements C consists in: 1. Receiving the signals emitted by element A and which are relayed by elements B, 2. Decoding these signals, identifying them by means of an integrated circuit provided for this purpose and actuating a beep if the received code corresponds to the own code of element C.

If the person concerned is at his telephone set he picks up his handset and the device was useless. If, on the other hand, the person is not near his station or if his station is occupied by another communication, he enters into contact with the switchboard or with any automatic system for establishing contact with the caller by means of a extension available and the call is transferred to the extension of its choice.

The elements C could be all types of small receivers and in particular microprocessor cards of the credit card type.

The description above relates to the search for people. In the case where it is also desired to broadcast messages to one or more recipients simultaneously, it suffices to add to element A a computer designed to code the messengers so that element A can have them broadcast over the telephone network. . Elements B do not change. Elements C must be fitted with indicator lights or a screen, for example with liquid crystals, allowing the recording of ten characters and a microprocessor designed to activate these indicators and / or this screen.
