Abstract

The invention relates to an apparatus which can be fastened or at least stabilised beside the bathroom mirror, wall-mounted for example, and which makes it possible to orient a stream of air in the chosen direction in order to demist the mirror or to dry one's hair with one's hands free, but also manually. It consists of an air blower 1, of a flexible or articulated support arm 4, and of a temporary link associating them 2 and 3 so that the blower can be oriented when it is in position and remains removable for hand-held use. The apparatus is intended particularly for domestic bathrooms.

Description

 The present invention relates to an electrical device for demisting the mirror and drying hair, in particular in a bathroom.

 Several problems arise for the modern man who uses a bathroom.

 First, it is the fogging which condenses on the mirror, after the use of hot water for example, and which makes it unusable.

 Secondly, a number of people, especially those who use gel to maintain hair, like to have both hands free to perfect their hairstyle during drying.

 Third, the easy storage of the ordinary hair dryer and its electric wire is rarely solved in a practical and aesthetic manner at the same time.

 Empirically, there are various solutions of patience to remedy each of these problems that hamper our everyday comfort.

 To eliminate fogging of the mirror, for example, it is possible to maintain, oriented in the right direction and for the time it will take, an ordinary hair dryer; there are also special ventilation systems, but they are expensive and difficult to adapt.

 There are therefore partial solutions, but none of them is entirely satisfactory.

 The invention provides a global and economical solution since it uses only one electric blower, used alternately for demisting the mirror and drying the hair, manually if desired, but also hands free, thanks to its adjustable support arm.

 The invention is composed of an air blower, a flexible or articulated support arm, one end of which serves to hold the blower through any temporary connection system between the blower and the arm, and whose l other end is a base for fixing or resting on a plane and which can optionally support the electric wire of the blower thanks to a hook for example, provided that the latter does not have a wire winder or any wire at all.

 The blower itself differs from a modern hair dryer in terms of its body which includes a temporary connecting member secured for its engagement and maintenance by the corresponding connecting member secured to the end of the support arm.

 Also, the connecting member forming part of the blower can between any part which composes it provided that it is compatible with the connecting member of the end of the support arm.

 Conversely, the connecting member secured to the end of the support arm can be any known or unknown means of gripping and securely holding the connecting member secured to the blower.

 The base on which the other end of the support arm is fixed can between fixed on a wall, near the mirror for example, or else made in a heavy and stable manner to rest on a horizontal surface.

 This base could also be replaced by a clamp for fixing to the edge of a shelf or a mirror.

FIG. 1 represents a detailed view of the essential elements constituting this exemplary embodiment.

 Figure 2 shows an overview, the blower being station.

 According to this exemplary embodiment, the connecting member on the blower (1) is a lug (2) solid and integral with the body.

 The fixing member at the end of the support arm is a spring clip or a clip made in a single pole on which the tab (2) is engaged.

 The lug can be produced in the same mold as the bodywork or else fixed during a later stage of manufacture using rivets or locking in places provided on the bodywork, or else, always as example, during the assembly of two shells constituting the bodywork.

 Here it is fixed with rivets.

 The flexiblìWtilisé support arm measures twenty centimeters in length, which allows easy orientation of the blower.

 The arm is deformed by exerting a manual force at its end in the desired direction.

 The base (5) on which the base of the support arm is fixed is perforated with two holes (6) allowing the fixing by means of screws, against the wall, next to the mirror.

 In addition, it has a hook (7) for hanging the electric wire (8).

Here, the clamp (3) is made of "spring metal, screwed onto the end of the support arm which is screwed to it on the base.
The invention can therefore be used manually by disengaging the blower from the support arm and by orienting it by hand.

 In the station, the blower being engaged on its support arm, it can also be oriented in the precise direction desired.

 During the rest period, the electrical wire of the device can between disconnected and coiled on the hook (7).

 This invention is a necessity of everyday life especially intended for use in the bathrooms.

 Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiments described and shown here, but it is possible to make numerous modifications of details without departing from the scope of the invention for this.

Claims (7)

 1. An electrical device for demisting the mirror and drying the hair, in particular in a bathroom, characterized in that it comprises an air blower and a flexible or articulated support arm connected together by a temporary fixing means, the blower therefore being removable or orientable at post.  2. Apparatus according to claim 1 characterized in that the blower has a temporary connecting member secured to any location of its body, its electrical wire, or any part that composes it.  3. Apparatus according to the preceding claims characterized in that the temporary connecting member secured to the blower is a tab of any shape which engages on the fixing member secured to the end of the support arm.  4. Apparatus according to the preceding claims, characterized in that the temporary linkage member secured to the support arm is made of at least one part capable of supporting the blower by maintaining it in a stable position.  5. Apparatus according to the preceding claims characterized in that the temporary connecting member secured to the support arm applies a pressure at least equivalent to the weight of the blower supported at a point or set of points of contact with it or one of its components.  6. Apparatus according to the preceding claims characterized in that the mounting base or rest secured to the base of the support arm is provided with a hook or tacket for hanging the electric wire of the wind tunnel.  7. Apparatus according to the preceding claims characterized in that the support arm which composes it has at least one articulation or pivot which will allow its user an easy and precise multidirectional orientation of the air flow thus exploited to the best.
