Abstract

A double-action handle for a door, window or the like, comprising a housing (2) containing a mechanism (22) composed of a toothed pinion (60) and of two plates (65, 66) equipped with a rack (61, 62) arranged on either side of the toothed pinion (60) and connected respectively to two operating rods (24, 25) by means of a connecting axle (50, 51), characterised in that each plate (65, 66) of rectangular shape has two connecting locations (67, 68) and (69, 70), either one of these connecting locations (67, 68) and (69, 70) interacting with one (50) or the other (51) connecting axle connecting the plate (65, 66) to one or the other operating rod (24, 25) via at least one oblong slot made in a plate covering the rear face of the housing.
