Abstract
1. A non-magnetic manganese and chromium steel resistant to corrosion under stress in a chlorinated medium, characterized in that it comprises by weight at the most 0.06% carbon, 19-26% manganese, 7-13% chromium, about 0.3% nitrogen and 0.6% silicon and residual nickel and molybdenum contents lower than 0.2% and 0.1% respectively, the remainder being formed by iron, apart from the unavoidable impurities.
