Abstract

Sealed breathing tube with a telescopic extension end fitting for subsea fishing and the like. It is made up of the combination firstly of a concave graduated notching section 5, 6, 7, 12 formed on the front end of the tube whose diameter has been slightly reduced, then of a sealing boss 8 placed at the end part of the notched sector and finally of a sliding telescopic cylindrical end fitting provided with an internally-projecting retaining stud. It is intended to allow the user instantaneously to adapt the length of the tube to the state of the sea and the height of the waves.

 Breathing tubes for hunting or diving are generally one-piece of medium size with a short tube, you breathe better, but if there are waves or spray, you need a longer tube to defend yourself.

 It consists of the combination first of a concave graduated notching profile formed on the anterior end of the tube whose diameter has been slightly reduced, then of a sealing boss placed at the end part of the notched sector and finally by a sliding telescopic cylindrical end-piece provided with an internally projecting retaining lug.

 The cylindrical breathing tube 1 preferably has at its front part 2 a slight reduction in diameter 3 in order to avoid if necessary an excess thickness and a notching formed by a concave groove 4 having a perpendicular graduation forming notching 5, 6, 7 and others.

 A boss 8 completes this assembly and is positioned at its end 9 by forming a seal 14.

 On this terminal sector is forcibly fitted a cylindrical extension 1Q of diameter slightly larger to ensure its forced sliding. It is provided with a projecting locking pin 11 forming a limit stop when it reaches the terminal profiles 5 and 12.

 The end piece 9 in all its positions along the rack 4 contacts the boss 8 at point 14 and ensures a complete seal whatever its position. This joint also constitutes a sliding stabilizing brake by its brushing against the internal face 13 of the telescopic extender 10.

 When it reaches its positions 14 and 15, the notches 5 and 12 with the tenon 14 forming an end-of-travel stop preventing any accidental dislocation.
